if i leave my heart with you tonight promise me that you're gonna treat it right. | Izzy had just finished unpacking her apartment, finally. It was such a relief as it had only taken nearly a week. She hadn’t really been able to do much or explore the place. She already missed LA but Miami seemed like a fun place to be so she wasn’t going to go all out and complain. The sun was shining and she kinda wanted to get out there and relax and do nothing before she found Cain. She wasn’t quite ready to see him yet, plus she wasn’t really sure what she was going to say to him. He was the one who cheated on her and now she was here, and she was going to persuade him to come back home with her and quit his acting job. Would he do it? She didn’t know....but she could always try right? It couldn’t hurt. Though she didn’t really know why she was doing it, why she was helping his father bring him back when she didn’t really want to see him. Apart from the fact that she believed becoming an actor changed him and she hated that. She did kind of wonder if he would even recognise him if they bumped into each other.
She went into her bedroom and looked around for a bikini and then grabbed some shorts to put over the top of them. She picked up a hair tie and pulled her hair up into a messy bun then grabbed her beach bag and put her towel and sunscreen in it. She then picked up her sunglasses, purse and iphone with her headphones and walked out of her apartment making sure it was locked then walked down onto the beach since her apartment was just by it which she loved. Before she decided to go and settle down she was going to walk around the beach for a little while, maybe she would take a dip into the sea. She did see a few people glance around and look at her then whisper. She knew being a model didn’t make her really well known. It wasn’t like she was an actress or anything but still, if people were recognising her that was cool, she was used to it in LA but people never really came up to her because they were used to seeing celebrities all the time. she smiled and gave a little wave at the people looking to be polite.
After she’d had a dip in the sea she went back to where she’d left her bag and then went over to the bar on the beach to get a drink. After she’d blossomed, she’d found it really easy to get a drink, especially when she was out in LA, men often paid for her drinks but then of course then they expected something in return and she wasn’t always up for that, it kind of annoyed her that she was stereotyped as a typical model but she didn’t let it get to her too much, she just set them straight and although she was never a bitch she could be confident enough to stand up for herself unlike in high school. A fear of hers was if she went on a talk show and someone from high school had sent in a picture of what she was like in school, fortunately that hadn’t happened yet, she didn’t know how people from her high school would actually react if they saw her now. Would they want to be her friend? She wasn’t ever bullied by anyone but she never put herself out there either, she was always shy and never really went out, now she was confident and of course her lifestyle enabled her to be invited to V.I.P nights and she always got straight into clubs, that was an advantage. She didn’t really love the attention as much as people would think though, she would have been happy if people had no idea who she was in Miami, but she couldn’t rely on that. She put her sunglasses on and was about to leave to go find a seat, but that was when she saw him and froze not knowing what to do.
Izzy tried to move but she couldn’t, she sighed and felt the feeling in her stomach he had once made it do when they were younger. Should she approach him? She looked over and saw that he had a bunch of people round him, adoring fans...maybe he would think she was just another fan. She decided to take a deep breathe and go right upto him. She put her sunglasses on over her head and headed over to him with her drink, waited for the crowds of adoring fans to leave after pictures were taken and autographs had been written. Cain? she smiled at him. Hey, how’s it going? she knew that was lame, but she wasn’t going to say who she was, she wanted to see if he recognised her. She swallowed and then looked down and back up at him with a little smile.

and we don't know how, how we got into this mad situation, only doing things out of frustration, trying to make it work but man these times are hard~
The sun beat down on Cain's back as he roamed the length of the beach. Water on one side, friends on the other laughing and joking about something one of them did at the bar last night at he was too drunk to remember. It had been a while since he actually had some free time on his hands; filming usually took up most of his hours. Movie here, television episode there; interview this, exclusive premiere that. But as busy as his schedule seemed to be, he always enjoyed it. Not to mention that he was good at it too; Cain was young talent that directors just yearned to utilize and that others wanted to work with on screen. Unlike most crowds of celebrities, he was real with his fans; he still got excited over his favorite actors or all time even though he was working with them and he still geeked out when ever he was talking about his favorite shows. He liked to feel more like a friend to his fans then just a pretty face and body on tv. Not to say tha he didn't enjoy the herds of people that seemed to flock to him when ever he just took a stroll on the sidewalk. Attention; he craved it, but he wasn't the type of guy to go out and make people look at him, it was something he thought was better earned.
Case and point as a small huddle of people came over and started chatting him up all excited like. Talking to strangers was no problem, his friends could even take a hint and make themselves lost when fans came up. He wasn't exactly hiding himself by wearing the oh so common celebrity mask of sunglasses and a hat, but he wasn't exactly wearing a "I'm Cain Daniels" sign on his back. If people knew him and liked his work, they could come up and ask for a quick picture or personal message. He looked like you're average guy walking along the sand bar. Cain smiled and chuckled as a few fans made quick conversation, most of them were teenage girls so he did his best to be a gentleman. Though the best part had to be the pictures. Sure a normal smiling ear-to-ear photo was great, but why not give someone a picture to adore? True to his fun-loving nature and charming demeanor, the actor posed for pictures with fans in more funny and memorable ways. Even giving one lucky young lady a kiss on the cheek, and another a princely peck on the back of her hand. The endearing rosy color growing on their cheeks was worth it. And they departed with giggles and astonished faces, Cain just waving at their backs with a half smug smirk.
Looking down and exhaling a contented sigh, he was about to turn away and start wondering the shore once more but the sound of his name stopped him. He hadn't missed one of the fan girls, had he? The voice spoke again, in greeting, and he turned to face it, trailing green eyes from the sand covering her feet all the way up her figure. She was easy on the eyes for one thing, but the lady was nearly the embodiment of perfection. Or maybe it was just the way the sea-side sun was lighting her skin. Either way, his obvious gawking and admiring grin couldn't have been helped. "Hey," he drawled the word out. His smile remained until he fully looked her in the eyes and it grew unbelieving; he knew that face, how could he ever forget that face. Whispering sweet nothings in her ears, tickling his nose against hers, kissing her lips, getting down on one knee and looking into her blue eyes; all reasons, memories, as to why he couldn't for get her face. "Abelle?" And the smile grew again, wide and happy yet curious.
Cain wanted to hug her, but after the way he had messed things up all those years ago, he wasn't sure she would appreciate it. His gaze flashed back down over her body, thinking for one moment that he was hallucinating, before looking back up into her eyes and continuing, shock riddling his face and voice "Everything is just great... I'm just surprised to see you, you know, actually talking to me"

if i leave my heart with you tonight promise me that you're gonna treat it right. | Izzy sighed when he gawked at her and rolled her eyes then folded her arms. she'd watched him with his fans and how they all went off in girlish giggles. He definitely didn't have that effect on her anymore. She sighed as she remembered the times they'd had together, of course she remembered the good times and not the ones where she'd found out he'd cheated on him and in her opinion when his head had gotten too big. She didn't really know what else to say to him, apart from maybe confirming that it was her that he was speaking too. Yes, it's me, Izzy. she confirmed it. No one, had called her Abelle in years, only he had called her it and it sounded weird to her. no ones called me Abelle in years she shrugged, still not really smiling. This was kinda awkward, and she wasn't about to make it easy for him. She brushed her fingers through her hair and took a sip of her drink then looked back at him. He did have a captivating smile, the smile that she had loved and that was one of the reasons she'd fallen for him and she was trying really hard not to have those feelings creep back up because she didn't want her heart broken again.
She finally put her arms to the side as he checked her out. wow, you are so not obvious, you know that? she said with a small chuckle I guess you can't believe your eyes since I'm not that same girl with the glasses and pimples. Yeah, well I wasn't really expecting to see you again. she sighed. She wasn't going to tell him the real reason why she was here in Miami, guess I'll just lie she thought to herself. I didn't know you were living here she said to him. I'm guessing the acting career is still going strong she said with a small smile. Obviously it was, since he had loads of adoring fans around him. Back in L.A she was around guys like him all the time though. She looked around and saw a group of girls looking and whispering to each other and rolled her eyes again. It was kinda funny and she wondered if they knew who she was or that they thought she was just an average girl. Either way, she didn't care. She wasn't after the attention of her fans, she never had been and had never set out to be famous, she was just scouted and decided that she liked modelling. Plus she made good money so why not right?
Just at that moment a guy came up to them who looked around seventeen. can I have your autograph and picture? My friends will never believe I saw you here if I don't he smiled at her. Sure she said to the kid, and took the pad and pen from him to sign then posed for a picture with him. She then looked back at him after the kid had gone away guess we both know what it's like to have the attention she said with a small smile. Somehow now she felt more like it was like old times, when they used to hang out and she smiled at him, a proper smile this time. Maybe she could put the past behind her, it had been what, three years? She should have gotten over it by now....okay so maybe not fully, she could deal with hanging out with him but she couldn't forgive him just yet. Do you want to get a drink or something? she asked him. I think we have a lot of catching up to do she smiled and then looked over at the girls still watching them I think that your admirers are jealous she said raising an eyebrow and smiling slightly. She then looked over at them and gave a little wave.

and we don't know how, how we got into this mad situation, only doing things out of frustration, trying to make it work but man these times are hard~
it had been years since he'd seen her. After that one fateful day three years ago she completely stopped talking to him, part of him didn't blame her. Yet, here she was now, making or at least trying to make, a decent conversation with him. Cain almost flinched when she mentioned that fact that she hadn't been called Abelle in years. He was the only one that had ever call her that and referring to her as that now was probably more personal then she was willing to get. Mentally, he made a note to get out of the habit of calling her that. Now she was just Isabelle, a girl that he knew- well, looking at her now- she was a girl that he thought he knew, but clearly she could change in a wink. At her next comment he flicked his eyes back to hers, catching his gaze drifting down again. He wasn't ashamed that she had caught him staring, he was like any other sane minded guy on the beach. "But you look amazing, truly. Isabelle, you know I wouldn't lie to you." he spoke it softly, giving an encouraging smile before shaking his head from another daze and ran a hand through his dark hair, "Uh, yeah. I've been here for about a year now, shooting most weeks for the television series I'm in..." Cain was going to say that she probably watched a few episode before he stopped himself and realized that if it had anything to do with him, she most likely wouldn't watch it.
After a moment, the actor slipped his hand down his chest and back to his side, all the while chuckling lowly. Cain parted his lips to say something but before even he could get a sound out, some other guy spoke up. For a second, Cain thought the young man was talking to him, but when he turned to look at the boy, he noticed that the teenager was looking at Isabelle. He didn't know why, but he suddenly had mixed feelings. Back in the old days Cain didn't have to worry about being jealous, she didn't attract too much attention. A huff passed his lips and he rolled his eyes at himself then shoved the thoughts aside; she was free agent now, he knew he had no right to feel possessive. But it had always just been him and Isabelle, call him selfish but he wasn't use to sharing her. he watched the boy walk away after a quick picture then relented, turning to face his friend after realizing that he was going to have to handling things differently with who she was now. "Well, we are both beautiful people, I'd be hurt if I didn't get asked for at least one picture.", it was spoken with a breathy laugh. The sight of that smile was infectious and suddenly one just as genuine pulled across his lips.
"A drink sounds great, but I'll only get one if you let me pay." The manners rooted in him started to push their way forward. Tilting his head in playful question, he let his arms fall loosely back to his sides, hooking his thumbs in the corners of his red swimming trunks pockets. When she waved at his admirers, he pivoted his body to look at them; they hurried to turned and pretended not to be paying attention. "Ah, right, them.", there was a humble softness behind is voice, "I think they'll be okay, they probably have much more interesting things to do then follow me around." He bit the inside of his lip to hide a smile as he faced his long time gone, friend. Without a word he offered her his elbow, an escorting gesture that his father would be proud of. Not that that's what he was going for. He wasn't completely sure why he did it though, maybe to show that old wounds didn't have to be the start of new beginnings. Or maybe to show her that he hadn't changed too much and that he was still the classy Cain she knew once. Either way, he wanted her to accept the offer.
With a sly flash of his charming, white-toothed smile, he trusted himself to speak again, "If you don't take my arm, I'll just hoist you over my shoulder and go to the bar with you that way." It was in jest, of course, but knowing him; he'd probably do it anyways.

if i leave my heart with you tonight promise me that you're gonna treat it right. | She smiled slightly Call me Izzy she said to him. She didn't really know why she was letting him call her that, her friends all called her that but her parents insisted on calling her Isabelle. It wasn't like she didn't like her full name, she just found it so formal. thanks she replied to him when he said she was looking amazing. Often when someone made that sort of comment to her she would reply to them saying they didn't look so bad either, but this time she wasn't going to, she would find it way too weird, even if she was secretly thinking it. Her eyes did wonder down to his chest but she quickly looked back up to his face hoping to god that he didn't notice. I know you wouldn't she told him. After all, he had been the one who admitted to cheating on her. She had never asked why he had done it, she wanted to know, but not now, she was determined to make this a pleasant conversation. She didn't want it to suddenly turn ugly. How could this have happened to them? She almost wondered why, but then he was just in that kind of industry, he was living the high life and if he had girls throwing themselves at him all the time he wasn't going to want a girlfriend right? Well her view was different for herself, even though she did have guys all over her all the time, she made sure that she wasn't going to make a bad name for herself. that's cool she said. She wasn't going to admit that she had watched the show, and that she quite liked it...well not just yet anyway.
Well I'm guessing you get all kinds of attention whereas it only seems to be guys for me she said with a grin. She kind of sensed a tang of jealously, well maybe she did...she could be wrong though but she did know him pretty well, better than she knew anyone really. They had been friends for so long, some people may have thought it was strange that they had ended up dating but she didn't care, she had loved him, she'd liked him since she could remember, but now what were they? Would they have to start from the beginning? Surely they could pick up from somewhere? She hoped they could kind of put things behind them, well she hoped that she could at least wow, still as confident as ever huh? she smiled a perfect smile. I'm guessing you love the attention more than I do though she said. It wasn't that she didn't like it, but sometimes she just kind of wished that she wasn't well known so people wouldn't recognise her. Sure she wasn't an actor or singer or anything but it didn't mean that people didn't recognise her and even though she was always happy to pose for pictures and sign autographs there were times when she needed privacy and space.
When he mentioned that he would only go for a drink with her if she let him pay she smiled I would have made you even if you didn't offer she said you owe me, it's the least you can do. He owed her a hell of a lot more than that but he could start making it up to her now. She was going to be straight with him, she didn't care, he needed to know as far as she was concerned and she wasn't going to sugarcoat it, she had never been able to say how she had felt about it all back then but now she felt more confident she felt herself being able to and she was sure that he somehow knew how she felt, but she wondered how he felt about it all. She really wanted to ask him but now just wast the right time. Yeah, they'll get over it she said. He offered his elbow and she hesitated, he then spoke again oh really? I'd like to see you try she said playfully. She knew that he was the type of guy that would accept the challenge but right now she was finding it funny. She didn't want to make anything easy for him, he didn't deserve it.

and we don't know how, how we got into this mad situation, only doing things out of frustration, trying to make it work but man these times are hard~
Something felt like it bent inside of him when she mentioned on getting guy's attention. But thinking back to that day when she walked away from him, he pretended it was nothing. If anything she seemed to had moved on, he didn't want to ruin that for her. Though he just nodded with a pleasant smile. He kept reminding himself that it wasn't his place to remember the way they use to be; who even knew why she was here, Izzy might even of had a serious relationship. There were just so many questions, most of them bordering too personal since they were directed toward the day she left, but he didn't want to sour the rare and very welcome normal mood. As she mentioned loving attention, he chuckled, the sound rolling in his chest before he actually spoke, "I take attention when and where I can get it. It's not like I dress up like Lady Gaga begging people to look at me." After that said, the image formed in his head and he shuddered for a second. He couldn't see himself wearing meat no matter how much anyone was willing to pay him, it wasn't worth the trouble and it was just plain unsanitary.
Still, he stood with his pro-offered elbow waiting as patiently as he could muster. However, he words, as gentle as they were spoke, make him tense for a fraction of a second. He knew exactly what she meant. Clearly she hadn't let the past be the past; pushing out a silent sigh he relaxed, who was he kidding, he still felt horrible about what he did.it wasn't easy to look at relationships the same way after messing up the first one that meant everything. But back then, they were both young a foolish. He'd repressed those memories or he thought he had. seeing her, talking to her; they all flooded back. Every single one. God, he could totally use the drink, Cain needed the distraction and liquid comfort that came in the bottle. Her challenge drew him out of his own head and he quirked an eyebrow at her, lowering his declined escort, "I feel a bit rejected but," this time a less charming and more devious grin plastered his cocky expression, "I'm a man true to my word." Without a moment's hesitation, he swiftly bent down, wrapping his arms securely around her waist and then steadied himself as he stood back up with a grunt, heaving her as gently as he could over one of his shoulders. She might not have thought about it before, but now Cain had the best view of her ass as he held her. And she probably had the best view of his if she looked down.
If people were looking he couldn't have cared less, this wasn't about getting attention, this was about having a good laugh and playful walk with his friend. Granted he'd be the only one with his feet on the ground. "Now that that's settled, off we go. Enjoy the view and," a smirk twitched up on his lips even though he knew she couldn't see it, "just know that you brought his upon yourself." One of his hands holding her patted the back of her thigh playfully before starting his walk along the sand and straight to the bar. Her fault that the walk from where they were to the beach bar was a decent length away. As Cain strolled very casually up to the counter and leaned one elbow against the bar, a few of the other men hooted and wolf whistled at the display on his shoulder. He paid them no mind as he talked up the bartender and ordered his drink, "A Corona and lime, please. And for the lady..." Finally, he plopped her down in the sand in front of him and nodded from her to the bartender, "you better get something, cause I didn't carry you all this way for nothing." As he chuckled and leaned back against the counter he gave her a crooked smile.

if i leave my heart with you tonight promise me that you're gonna treat it right. | Hmm your not far off she commented although I can't imagine why anyone would actually want to do that she shrugged. I guess I can let you off that she said with a small smile. She didn't want to admit that there were times when she actually loved the attention she got from guys, but a lot of the time she did think of them as just annoying and pervy. although it would be totally funny to see you in an outfit like that she said. I have had to model some weird stuff though I gotta admit, sometimes I think Lady Gaga may have been the designer she said to him. Making conversation was appearing easier now at least, but she still was holding a bit of a barrier up with him because she didn't want to appear to friendly or keen right now. Talking to him now though had made her realise that she did in fact miss him, she missed how they used to be and kind of wished that she had stayed and tried to make it work with him, but at that time she didn't feel that she could have.
Mentioning the past....She could tell it had made him uneasy, she was starting to feel more confident. Izzy was waiting for him to lift her over his shoulder and right then he said that he was a man of his word and lifted her up on his shoulder. Izzy let out a squeal as he lifted her. She smiled at the thought of him feeling rejected, although she felt a little bad that he felt like that but on the other sense she didn't really care, she wanted him to feel like that in a way, she still felt bitter about it, but it was like back then she wasn't good enough for him and he just settled, which was why he went about cheating on her with better looking girls, and now she was probably better looking than all the girls he got with put together, well okay....that was her being big headed and she wasn't really like that, but damn she knew she was gorgeous, since she had spent a lot of time doing herself up. Sure, at first she had neeeded advice wi what to wear but now she knew exactly how to look.
view? There is no view, unless your talking about your ass she said and slapped it. Bringing it on herself....well maybe but she didn't mind, it was a way of not walking right over to the bar. Not that she was lazy or anything, it wasn't even that far, but she was kinda enjoying the ride. She got a lot of male attention but never really spoke to many guys a lot, well not like she was with Cain. She'd had boyfriends but they never really worked out, she pretty much put it down to her first ever relationship being a complete disaster but she wasn't going to get into that now. Once he put her down in the sand she smiled her sweet smile at the bartender I'll have the most expensive cocktail she smiled and took a seat next to him. So.... she started but didn't quite know what to say what's new?

and we don't know how, how we got into this mad situation, only doing things out of frustration, trying to make it work but man these times are hard~
When he told her to enjoy the view, Cain hadn't been expecting the sort of response he got. Initially, yes, he had chuckled at her words and rather liked them; it showed that she was actually looked, which made the smug part of his personality grow. But it was the smack on his ass that really surprised him. The moment she did it he paused mid-step for a half a second. Not to say that it wasn't liked, in fact when he continued walking he could still feel that small tingle on his skin, but of all people he didn't think she would have done it. Clearing the girl on his shoulder had grew much more confident, old Isabelle most likely wouldn't have even thought about slapping him on the butt. He chimed himself on comparing her to how she use to be, but this was the girl that had been his closest friend and lover for a while, it would be hard to just forget the old things he loved. When she had smacked him though, Cain had gotten the feeling to do it to her in playful retaliation, but he resisted and thought better of it. He relented to just a haughty grin. "Careful with the merchandise, Izzy."
At the beach bar, a few of the men around them were still looking at them, even after he put her down. Again, that spite of new jealousy was flickering within him, but again he pretended it was nothing. His eyes rolled his when she ordered, nearly emphasizing the price of the drink she wanted. The most expensive. Sure he had money and it wasn't a problem but still, she was doing it just to get to him and utilizing his offer of paying. Cain lifted his head and angled it slightly at her hearing her voice and he chuckled, "You mean besides emptying my wallet just to make you happy?" a teasing smile split his features. With a nonchalant shrug, he continued, "To be honest, not a lot is new. The show has been nominated for an award, I've been offered more possible movie contracts, and I've recently added a new car to my collection. You know how much I love those." As of right now, there were three cars sitting in his garage, accompanied by his baby; a classic Harley motorcycle. Collecting cars was probably the one thing he had in common with his father, granted his father's collection was much bigger and had older classic brands then Cain's sports cars but never-the-less he enjoyed it.
The bartender came back with the drinks, his Corona with a lime wedge jammed in the neck and Isabelle's brightly colored concoction in a fancy glass. Before she could drink it, Cain swooped it up and plucked a tiny umbrella from the holder and place it in the drink, then returned it to her with a cheesy smile, "There, now it's perfect." turning he wrapped his hand around his beer and leaned casually against the counter, his body facing Izzy's. Thinking for a moment, the bottle swirled in his hand then came to a stop as he said, "So, what brings you to the sunny West Coast? Surely you didn't come to see if Florida really does have the best oranges." He wrinkled his nose after taking a quick swig of his drink, "because if so, I can tell you that it's true. Florida really has the best oranges." A rumble of quiet laughter sounded from his chest before dying away so he wouldn't choke taking another sip. In all seriousness however, he was curiuos as to what drew her here all the way from California.

if i leave my heart with you tonight promise me that you're gonna treat it right. | Izzy would never had dreamed of behaving in such a manner before, and she knew that he had never seen this side of her before. She hadn’t changed that much though, looks wise yes and she may have grown more confident because of that but deep down she was still the same girl and she kinda wanted to show him that. If people knew her for who she was back in high school they would never have believed that modelling had been her career path and to be honest it had never been hers, she hadn’t really known what she wanted to do, studying English literature at college had been something that interested her, but in high school she was a typical nerd, instead of hanging out at the mall she would have rather be playing the latest video game or role playing game online, she loved shows such as star wars and star trek. Of course she kept that a secret, what kind of model liked those kind of things? Although if she did admit to liking them, people would in fact see that she wasn’t a typical model and she kind of liked that, though it just didn’t go with her image and how she was now. Her friends knew that side of her but not the public, she didn’t know if she was prepared for that.
She saw the men not too far away from them were still looking over at them so she gave them a little wave, something she normally did when the guys couldn’t stop staring. Am I not worth it? she grinned, she knew he wouldn’t deny her the drink but she had to add to the comment you know, I am quite confident I could get any other guy to buy me a drink she told him I would count yourself lucky she grinned and nudged him. Despite how she was still feeling about him, the playfulness was coming naturally to her and she didn’t really mind it was just funny, more like old times and she wasn’t that surprised how easy it was to slip into that once again. Deep down she knew he regretted what he had done, maybe she should be over it, and she kept thinking about it, she still needed answers from him though but she didn’t know when the right time to ask him about everything would be, they were having a nice time still and she didn’t want to ruin it, she would have to save that conversation for some other time.
An award? Wow that’s pretty cool she nodded which award is that then? she asked him, genuinely interested. wow, so its all full on for you huh? she smiled do you ever really get time to relax? she asked him. As a model she didn’t work all the time but when she did it was so full on and tiring, she needed to make sure she always got an extra night in the hotel just so she could fully recover. oh so how many cars have you got now? she asked I don’t suppose you still have the one from high school still? She didn’t think it was likely that he did, since he would be able to afford better cars now and knowing how much he loved his cars she would think he would have traded it in for something better, but she could be wrong. Personally she didn’t know why people needed so many cars. She had the one car and that was enough for her. Sure, it was a flashy expensive car and she could well afford to buy others but it certainly didn’t spark her interest, she would much rather spend her money on other things.
The drinks arrived and Izzy smiled as she watched him pick an umbrella and put it in her drink. She listened as he asked her why she was in Florida and she bit her lip slightly, she hadn’t really got her story straight on that one but she was good on making things up on the spot. Oh I don’t know if I can agree with you on that, you know Orange County is the best she grinned at him. She then went to answer his question but not before taking a sip of her drink. Oh you know, just wanted a change of scenary she shrugged. Don’t get me wrong, I love L.A but I am quickly adjusting to life here, plus I’ve already been able to pick up a few modelling gigs so its pretty good she nodded and then took another sip mmm this is so good, do you want to try it? she asked.

and we don't know how, how we got into this mad situation, only doing things out of frustration, trying to make it work but man these times are hard~
He'd never say she wasn't worth it, if she was worth proposing too a few years ago, then she was definitely worth a drink. And Cain wasn't going to try and argue her other point. Teeth grazed his bottom lip as he stole another glance along her figure, green eyes sparkling as they appreciated the form. A guy would have to be crazy not to buy her a drink, hell if he hadn't of carried her over to the bar she would probably have a few men try to smooth talk her right into their laps about now. Well damn, if Can didn't know her and they never had history together, he'd be the first guy to try and charm her back to his bed. He'd admit to that if she asked, thankfully she didn't but it was true none-the-less. The actor was more of an honest man then people gave him credit for, he wasn't completely open but when it mattered, he'd be straight with whoever he was talking. Just like how he admitted to Isabelle that he cheated; he didn't do it to break up with her, he didn't do it to see if she'd take pity on him for being honest with her; Cain told her because he knew if he were in her position, he'd want to know. Not that she had stuck around long after that to ask why he came clean.
As she questioned him about the award and everything else, he smiled. He liked this, this lighthearted interaction with her it was something that came so easy. It was like digging up all the fun times they had even before they dated, when they were just friends, and feeling the same way then. "Uh, I think it's the Best New Summer Show award, or something like that." Cain shrugged a bit and then set his glass down, keeping a loose hold on the bottle before continuing with a wide smile, "I'm busy most days, but I manage to find some time here and there. I'm relaxing now with you, aren't I?" Just like she had a few moments ago, Cain nudged her letting a smile linger. "As for the cars," he took a moment and pretended like he was counted how many cars he had, playfully drawing out his fingers to hold out eight but he just laughed and shook his head, hiding his amusement, "Okay seriously, I only have three cars and you bet I kept my car from high school. Me and that darling have been through a lot together and she is still in good shape." As the words flew from his tongue, he couldn't help but notice how two-sided the last statement was. He side glanced at her and downed another part of his drink, wondering if she caught it.
He nearly spit out his drink when she mentioned Orange County. Sure, in name they had a lot to do with oranges but in theory, probably not some much. It was a challenge to swallow the sip down. "Orange County? No way, the only thing they have are real house wives, and even those aren't good.", an astonished look graced his face but he chuckled. Those kind of shows were never his favorite, the only reality tv that he actually enjoyed was Big Brother and Fear Factor. Dancing with the Stars wasn't bad either, but that was harder to admit with guys around to judge. But he let her finish with her actual answer to his question. Of course, modelling. She certainly had changed a few things since leaving him, but that was expected. But still modelling. Cain resisted the urge to look her over again; it was too clear to see now. "Hey, that's great. I'm sure you'll get plenty of photo shoots out here." His hand swirled the liquid in his bottle and watched her take the first sip of her drink. The actor shook his head, carefully declining her offer to share, "Nah, I'll leave the pretty looking drinks to the pretty looking people." A flirty smirk pulled across his face as he shifted to lean both his elbows on the bar, over looking the water.

if i leave my heart with you tonight promise me that you're gonna treat it right. | She smiled Well that’s cool she smiled. She was being genuine, even if it didn’t sound like she was. She was happy that his acting career had been successful. She was just sad that their relationship hadn’t been, but she still blamed him in that part, maybe it was her in some part but she could never work out why it would be her fault. She shook her head getting rid of her thoughts and sighed. I’m glad everything worked out for you she said with a small smile. At that moment she kind of wanted to ask him if he was seeing anyone, but that would spark an interest, and kind of make him assume she was interested in him again. She didn’t know what she wanted in that respect, all she knew was that she couldn’t let him know she was even thinking of that. She didn’t really want to get involved with him again, but at the same time she couldn’t help the feelings that seemed to be coming back to her, the memories they had shared. It was sad that they had wasted that, but now here they were, once again face to face, but this time it was different.
Well yeah, but I am special, I am sure that you would take time out of your precious schedual to hang out with me anyway she grinned. well, maybe you wouldn’t be able to, but it’s a nice thought right? she smiled and flipped some hair back over her shoulder. Don’t you get to kinda choose when you wanna work anyway? I mean I kinda always thought you got at least SOME say in it right? she said they gotta give you time off if they don’t want their actors turning into divas or whatever she smirked. Well that was what she genuinely thought. She didn’t really know though, maybe she was just being stupid, afterall, apart from the modelling world, she didn’t really keep up with the celebrity lifestyle, especially not the life of Cain Daniels. She shrugged What do I know right? I’m just a model she smiled and gave him a cheeky wink. Izzy wasn’t really clued up on flirting so she didn’t really know when she was doing it, but there was definitely a sense of flirtatiousness in her actions, not that she would have minded, she was kind of used to being that way with guys so it kind of came naturally.
Oh only three? she teased don’t you need one for each day of the week? How on earth do you cope? she laughed. seriously? That’s awesome! her reaction to him still having his old car from high school couldn’t have been more excited. Yeah, we both have a lot of memories from that car she smiled slightly. Then without thinking the words just came out Maybe I should come by and check it out sometime, you know...see how its doing, say hi she joked. It was cool his old car was in good shape though, she was glad that he hadn’t gotten rid of it, made her believe that he was still the same person he was that she knew. I am glad you haven’t gotten rid of it she told him.
Izzy pulled a face eww she said I hate that show....but seriously I still believe that the OC has the best oranges, you won’t be able to change my view there, not unless you have an orange grove anywhere near here so we can test out that theory she said with a knowing look. Talking about the modelling made her smile grow Yeah, hopefully she smiled who would have guessed it, me...modelling she shrugged. I bet all the kids from school wouldn’t even recognise me. Well it was true, they wouldn’t have believed it if they were just told that Isabelle Cartright was now a model. When he said he didn’t want any of her drink, saying that he would leave it for the ‘pretty looking people’ and she blushed. you think I’m pretty?

and we don't know how, how we got into this mad situation, only doing things out of frustration, trying to make it work but man these times are hard~
He let his shoulder's shrug and he flashed a quick smile. As great as his career was starting off, he still didn't have much time on his own. Most often then not Cain had events to go to. And since his status was pretty well known to just about any body, he had an obligation to go. Then there were the days that he and his fellow co-stars had filming; he liked to count those days as fun though since he enjoyed playing a character. And sure, he missed the time that he use to have nothing to do in, but he had a commitment and he was willing to prove that he was ready to do anything to keep it. Though the only real person he ever had to prove himself too was/is his father. But that man is horribly hard to impress. At one of her comments, Cain held in a chuckle and just put his acting skill to work. "Me? A diva?" Flipping his head as if to shake his bangs out of his eyes, he rolled his eyes and then snapped his fingers in her direction, adding in a twang of a high scent, "Bitch, please." again he had to hold in a smile as he looked back at his hand, admiring his nails. But after that he couldn't hold it together anymore and nearly fell over laughing, bending a little bit as his core before straightening and leaning against the bar. A grand amused grin spread his lips when he looked back at Izzy.
Hmm, he loved his cars. the normal blue, two door Veloster which he used to be less flashy; his red high school 1969 GT Mustang, which his father had passed down to him, though he had that repainted to look nicer; and finally, his new baby and the car he felt like he was on top of the world in and just drove to show off, his Aston Martin One-77. God, he loved his life solely for those three reasons, those cars were his children. A lot of his money was put in those machines, so he liked to keep them looking like new. "Hm?" He blinked himself out of his car induced daze, "Oh sure. I'm sure the car would just love to see you again." They did have plenty of memories in that vehicle; some more memorable then others. If Cain could recall, during the years when they dated, they probably had a few make-out sessions. Of course those were the better memories. The not so good ones would be getting caught by his father or her father; sometimes even both of the to together too. Yeah, those definitely weren't fun. Cain could still remember the shocked looks on both of their fathers faces at finding out that the long time best friends were fooling around in the car. The actor smirked but bit his bottom lip to hide it. Now he got away with a lot more in his cars then what any father probably wants to know, not that he'd be to keen on sharing intimate information like that in the first place.
He smiled and stole another sip of his drink as she spoke about possibly owning an orange grove, "Ah, well, Izzy I'm not that rich. Not yet, at least." He still had several more movie contracts to go until he got enough money to own and maintain a whole acre or so of land. Plus he wanted to use his money for better things; sure he bought expensive cars and had a more then decent sized condo for himself, but still even no some of his profit went towards different charities and support systems. Not of out pity, but sincerely out of the want to help. He watched her light up when she started talking about her new business. Modeling. Part of him still really couldn't believe it but then again, just looking at her seemed to make it obvious. "I always knew you had the potential to make it big in whatever career you wanted. You are a determined girl." It was true, the compliment that came off his lips. He had been around her most of his life, he'd be the best one to know what kind of person she was.
From the corner of his green eyes, he could see the twinge of rose creep up her cheeks. He didn't make a comment about it, Cain just dawned a carefully masked smug look. It was comforting to know that he could get that kind of reaction out of her. At her question he lulled his head over to face her and gave a you've-got-to-be-kidding-me look, "Izzy, when haven't I thought you were pretty?" That said, he looked back at the water lapping at the shore and tilted the neck of his glass bottle to his lips. The bottle was close to being half empty now.

if i leave my heart with you tonight promise me that you're gonna treat it right. | Izzy watched and laughed at his impression of a diva I think your suppose to talk about ‘getting all up in ma face’ and all that she smiled at him. Being around models a lot of the time, Izzy was used to the attitude they brought. She had never been that kind of person though, she normally just got on with things and she didn’t really listen to the other girls giving the attitude, she normally just rolled her eyes. She hated confrontation so never got involved with that kind of thing. She had never been good at standing up for herself. Don’t worry, I’ve been around enough divas to know how it goes, i’ll teach you the ways she smiled at him. every celebrity needs to have a bit of diva in them, it’s just how they roll. At least that was what she thought, some people would call her a celebrity, therefore it would not apply, but she would definitely not think she was a celebrity and she would have no problem arguing with anyone who said she was. That was so weird to call herself that, why would she call herself that? Yes she was a model, but she considered a celebrity to be a whole other persona and a whole other level which she did not really want to enter into. Although she was kind of already in that ‘persona’ just not as much as other celebrities were, but she was happy how she was, really happy.
Shaking her head as she watched him in his daze it made her laugh how guys were so into their cars, just like a lot of girls were into clothes. Yes she was into clothes but probably not as much as people thought she was. Izzy was a lot more down to earth than most models. She just wanted to be ‘normal’ I bet she looked down at the ground and then back up at him again. Well there was no need to elaborate, they certainly had some good memories from that car, and more make out sessions than she had done in any other car. Those were the good times and now thinking back she kind of missed that. Izzy let out a sigh as she let her mind drift. Aren’t you glad that cars can’t talk? she grinned at him with a cheeky smile. If they could then a lot of secrets were sure to be revealed, because of course, a lot more went on in cars than just driving. Though she hadn’t yet used her car for any other activity, there was plenty of time for that though.
She stuck her bottom lip out Not that rich? And here I was to believe that actors had it all she grinned. Well that was sort of what she thought. They just had the whole package. Obviously it wouldn’t be her lifestyle at all, but he obviously liked it. She could happily say that if he needed a date to any of his events she would totally be up for it, if he offered of course, she would never offer herself up, and that was something she wanted to keep secret, she didn’t really want him to know that she kinda wanted to be his date to some high profile event. Did she want to be his date just to go to an event like that? Or was there more to it than she thought? That was something that she didn’t really know about, it was weird. Seeing him again had definitely confused her and she wondered if he was actually feeling the same. Well thank you she smiled at him. It was true, she always had been determined to have a high powered job. Maybe modelling wasn’t the one that she had first planned on having, but it was definitely one she enjoyed. At least she had been to college so she had something to fall back on when she was older.
She shrugged, not really knowing how to answer. It was true, when had he in fact thought that she wasn’t pretty? Well you know, I mean... she bit her lip just... she then quickly changed the subject as she sipped the last of her drink, noticing that his was nearly empty also. another round? she asked him, pointing to the bottle. Anything to get off the subject she had just brought up. She had honestly been stupid to say that and now she regretted it. She really hoped that he wouldn’t go back to it but she could only hope, chances were that he probably would do. This one is my treat she said to him But don’t go ordering some exotic cocktail, cos you know, I don’t think my income is quite like what you make she grinned at him.

and we don't know how, how we got into this mad situation, only doing things out of frustration, trying to make it work but man these times are hard~
In all honesty, as if it wasn't hard to tell, Cain wasn't really aiming to be a diva for any sort. He really couldn't pull off the whole act, it was bad enough to make Izzy even offer her help. And what she said was probably true, as a model you had to share the spotlight with a lot of other big headed girls, some that even think they were on top of the work. When she said that all celebrities had a diva in them, the actor just wrinkled his nose. The only part of him that was a diva was his desire for attention, but even that was dull compared to some other famous people. Currently, Cain was just happy where he was in his career; just really starting to merge into a major power but not getting totally loaded up with contracts that it took over his life. Like Tom Cruise. That guy had films coming out the wazoo, and look what happened to his marriage. Sure a split like that had already happened once for Cain, so he wasn't so keen on having it happen again. Turning into a diva was not a good career and personal life move.
Drawing his mind from his cars and all the memories with them, he looked back at her in time to caught her question. it was a simple question that entailed a big problem if it were ever true. Thank God cars couldn't talk. He nearly snorted when he grinned wide, hiding a heat in his cheek as he nodded. "If cars could talk, they'd be my down fall." he said and just smiled the topic off. he wasn't about to go into details about why it could potentially ruin or tarnish his prided status. That would be like kissing and telling, and everyone knew that was a big no. He didn't think Izzy, of all people, wanted to hear about those kinds of things anyways, even if they weren't together and they could do anything (anyone) they wanted. But he obeyed that boundary of not mention it. Her comment about his money status made him shift a foot in the sand, a smear of a humble feeling washing over him and he chuckled lightheartedly. Okay, maybe he did have an easy life when it can to his income but it was still a normal life like any one else. Just with a little posh here and there.
Hearing her falter over her words was like music to his ears. With a broad smirk, he angled his head back to face her, again falling into the enjoyment of the light flush in her cheeks and along her neck. This was just one of the reasons he loved the charm and sweet talk a girl, that blush was a sure sign that he was winning. And more often then not, Cain liked to win. He found it horribly adorable and was about to speak up and keep her on the faltering topic but she beat him to the punch and asked about another round. Rolling his green eyes playfully, he looked down at his drink, even if it was half full, and nodded "Yeah, sure sounds good, just give me a second." And with that he leaned his back on the counter and tossed his head back with the bottle at his lips. Downing the rest of the liquid in a few gulps then pushing the clear and empty glass bottle on the bar counter with a smile. "There. And fine, you can pay." Cain put his hands up in surrender with a laugh. Usually he would fight back and make sure he ended up paying but the warm feeling of the alcohol was flood his body and it felt good, he just wanted another. Plus this was Izzy, he had a hard time saying no to her and he let her win sometimes.
Turning to the bartender, the actor smiled and just put down an order for the same thing. Corona with a lime. On a nice sunny day along the beach, it couldn't get much better then that. After inhaling with a grin, probably more cocky then he had hoped it looked, he leaned a fraction toward his friend, "You were saying something about how i thought you were pretty, but you didn't quite get your words out, mind repeating yourself?" He pulled back and dusted a hand over the edge of the counter, fingers lightly tapping the wood. The kind of person Cain was, wasn't going to let this topic go to waste. Besides, he wanted to know what his ex fiancee still thought; clearly she didn't hate him like he had guessed she would.

if i leave my heart with you tonight promise me that you're gonna treat it right. | She wasn’t exactly saying that he should be a diva, and if she was honest she didn’t want him to be, she was glad that the subject didn’t go any further if she was honest, having to deal with models like that was enough, she was only offering to help him because in some cases, being a diva boosted peoples careers. She knew he probably wouldn’t have gone for it though but she had offered to help him so that was something. Although who knows what he would be like if he turned into a diva, he had cheated on her without being one, and when is career had just started out, if he was a diva he would probably be a big manwhore or something. Izzy scrunched her nose up in disgust. She had no idea why people were so quick to jump into bed with just anyone. To her that was something special, which was why her ‘number’ was something of very limited, and not something she was going to discuss with just anyone. She didn’t care if people found that ‘prudish or whatever, she had respect for herself and that was what she thought was important and that was what mattered, not anyone else’s opinion. That was no one elses business. The truth was that she hadn’t really found many people who were worth all that, and she definitely wasn’t the ‘one night stand’ kind of girl, she never had been, so why would she start now? Cain would know better than anyone probably that it was one thing she did not take lightly. She wasn’t a virgin, and hadn’t been for a while, but she just had a different view than some people. Well people that she knew in the modelling world anyway. A lot of her friends had a casual view on that kind of thing. She didn’t have anything against it, but when guys came up to her thinking they could get some, and that she was the ‘typical easy model’ that was what really annoyed her.
Talking about how ‘if cars could talk’ felt kinda awkward...obviously there was more to that story than she was wiling to hear, and she was glad that she didn’t elaborate on that, because that would have been pushing the boundaries somewhat. She didn’t care whether they were both single and whatever; there were just some things that you didn’t share with ex lovers. That was just a rule that he didn’t cross, thank god. Though she did have a feeling that he didn’t quite have the same view when it came to that kind of thing judging by his reaction. Though she too agreed with him, she may not have been with that many guys but she had been the one to make the comment after all. She closed the subject with a simple answer right.... she nodded in agreement. There was no need to go into anymore detail with that. She noticed him shuffle his feet in the sand and then he chuckled. He was very modest and humble, she would give him that much and she definitely liked that about him, he hadn’t changed on that part. Good to see you haven’t changed in some senses she smiled at him with a nod. Though really, she could still see the same guy she had known those few years ago. He hadn’t really changed at all and she was starting to believe that he had just made really bad choices back then. Yes, she still needed answers but it was still not the time to ask about them.
She smiled at him as he downed the rest of his drink and then smiled when he said that she could pay Good, cos I wasn’t going to take no for an answer. she smiled. The subject then moved onto what they had been talking about...Oh right....yeah she bit her lip not knowing what to say. What did she want to say anyway? She honestly didn’t really know, how could she go down that road without bringing up the past? Maybe she should just bite the bullet and do it, but she wasn’t up for discussing it fully, not now anyway. I just thought, you know....with everything that happened... her voice trailed off. That was so lame, beyond lame even. There wasn’t even any way she could take it back. If it went onto a conversation about the past she would have to change the subject because in all honesty she was enjoying how things were right now, she didn’t need a discussion about that messing it all up, because that was what she was afraid of happening. They were getting back on track, but then again, when you were best friends and had been for as long as they had been, it probably didn’t really take that much to get back to normal again, even with everything that had happened. She may have been able to put the past behind her for now, but she still wanted answers but to be perfectly honest she was happy to have his company and to see him again, it felt just like old times in some way. The bartender put their drinks down by them and told them they were on the house. She smiled and took a sip of hers through the straw. Maybe I should order drinks for you more often she smiled at him. But no, I’m going to pay for them, though thank you for the offer she said throwing a ten dollar bill on the table. It was nice to have drinks on the house, but when it happened a lot it wasn’t such a novelty and it certainly wasn’t as fun. So, can I see your cool Miami pad? she smiled. She was starting to forget what the plan with Cain was.....oh right, that was it, his father wanted her back to work for him. She could convince him to come back with her, couldn’t she?
