[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, width:500px; height:400px;] and we don't know how, how we got into this mad situation, only doing things out of frustration, trying to make it work but man these times are hard~ It had been about four years, give or take, since he actually started his acting career. It was plenty of time to conform to the hot headed, money loving celebrity that people saw when they looked at the stars. But Cain was aiming more towards average, normal person celebrity. Changing that much wasn't really in his plan. He smiled at Izzy when she said he hadn't changed in some ways, definitely a compliment by his standards. And besides he blown out of the water looks and her new found confidence, she hadn't changed so much either. Still his, err, still the same wholesome Izzy that he knew back in L.A., the who had his heart wrapped around her finger. But that part of them was over, he was even still surprised that she was being so friendly with him, he'd cheated and then moved away after she ended up tossing the ring he gave her in his face. But he was enjoying finding out that she hadn't changed all that much. It was almost reassuring, in a sense. He wanted to laugh, but he bit his cheek to stop himself and settled for an amused grin when he gave up the right to pay to her. He recalled all the times in high school, or when they were just engaged that he was able to change her mind by whisper sweet nothings into the shell of her ear. Not that that would probably work now, she seemed to have a harder resolve then before. Then again, Cain was always game for a good challenge but given the past, suddenly having him put the moves on her was the last thing she wanted. His eyebrow arched curiously when she started stumbling over what to say again. A smile highlighted his face until the phrase 'everything that happened' passed her lips. So that's what they were calling him cheating now? It was like she couldn't even say the word; cheated. Exhaling, he cast his eyes off to the side; he didn't blame her it was a word loaded with their history, not something that was easily brought back up. After a moment of silence, the actor turned his gaze back to her and tried not to force a small smile, though his feature were still more depressed ten uplifted, "With everything that has happened, what I think of you has not changed." That siad, the bartender had impeccable timing and interrupted the tense moment, cutting like a knife through butter. He took his bottle, avoiding the man behind the counter's gaze, though the bartender only seemed to have eyes for Isabelle. As his friend and the man behind the counter had their little exchange, Cain rested his eyes back out over the water, titling the Corona to his lips, letting the chilled liquid spill down his throat. He blinked back over as he heard Izzy' direct something toward him again. Come over? Already? He couldn't help but smirk at that thought. Well, weren't thing moving along fast. First to see the car now to see his house, confident by all means. it looked good on her. "My house? Of course, you'd be welcome anytime." A smile flicked up in his voice and as he opened his mouth to add something else, there was a tap on his shoulder. Furrowing his eyebrows his looked over his shoulder, instantly grinning widely at who he saw. Right, his friends, they had scattered during the autographs. No doubt they had been looking for him for awhile. "Cain, dude, we have to go. You have an interview in an hour remember?" He did? Of course he did. Looking back over at Izzy he smiled sadly for a moment then drink another swig of beer before thudding it on the counter, "Look, I'm sure you still have my number. Call whenever you want. We will be in touch." On impulse, Cain reached out and tilted her chin up with a smile for good-bye before walking away and shoving his buddy playfully, heading back toward his car. |
