he put his hands in his wallet to make sure he had his wallet, and in the search he found a tiny, crumpled piece of paper in his pocket as well. it was kind of hard to read since it had gone through the wash but when he opened it, he saw his own handwriting telling himself that he had no work tomorrow. why didn't i find this morning! he thought to himself as he walked back to his car. james wasn't tired but he wasn't really sure what to do. fortunately, his stomach picked that moment to rumble loudly. jamie drove down to the closets fast food joint, parked, then got down. it was quiet, it wasn't close to being lunch hour year, which meant no line. he practically ran to the counter and ordered a bacon burger with large fries and a drink. he got his order number then sat down at the table closest to him. james would really have to text one of his buds to see if they were up for something. he couldn't stand just not doing nothing all day. at that moment, the door to the place opened. speak of the devil jamie thought as he saw one of his best friends walking in.
sorry this took forever! hope its okay |

aj put a pair of sunglasses over his eyes to shield them from the miami sun and drove down to his favorite place to grab a greasy burger and huge serving of french fries. for some reason, there was nothing like fried food the morning after a party. it filled the stomach and seemed to sop up any last traces of alcohol in your system. it got rid of that 'still drunk' feeling everyone seemed to wake up with, aj especially. he yanked open the door to the place with a tremendous amount of force. he stumbled in a little bit and walked up to the line. thank god there was only one person in front of him or he would have died, figuratively, of course. his order was the same as it always was. cheeseburger with everything on it and a medium fry. he had a bottle of water in his hand from his apartment so he wouldn't have to buy a drink. he smiled and took his receipt from the woman at the counter and turned around to wait.
but who did he see right in front of him at a table? only one of his best friends, james carson. the guy was quite possibly one of the coolest guys aj knew. he was a bit forgetful at times. actually scratch that, very forgetful, but aj didn't care at all. "jamie!" aj exclaimed, heading over to the table that his buddy was sitting at. he probably shouldn't have picked up the volume in his voice. it sounded hoarse, for one, and the noise level gave him a sharp pain in the head. "what's going on?!"

the second bite was just as big as the first, making it impossible for him to even talk. so it was pretty hard to say anything when his best friend aj walked in. it was kind of hard to miss james, considering he practically jumped up and down so that aj could see him. he chewed as fast as he could but the food was against him. this would be one of the few times you would find jamie regretting eating so much at one time. "nothing much, just found out i got a free day" james mumbled in between chews. it was very hard to understand him and he wouldn't have been surprised if aj gave him a what the fuck look. finally, he swallowed the food and repeated what he said once more. he wasn't the least bit embarrassed, it was aj after all. now if it had been a girl, that might have been a different story.
aj and him has been friends for ages, or so he took it that way. in his mind, as long as someone had your back, it was like they had always been there. aj as well as some other friends were one of the few that actually didn't get annoyed by his forgetfulness nor his childish nature. "what's been going on with you? you haven't gotten on xbox live" james said, furrowing his eyebrows. another thing he never forgot about, no matter what age, was his xbox.
i feel like im a horrible boy P |

"well, that's sweet." aj said, just as they announced his order number. he could smell the french fries now. all of this hangover food was going to catch up to him one day. aj figured he might as well indulge while he could. he grabbed the bag and sat down right across from james. "but how'd you manage that?" aj felt like jamie was always working at the aquarium. there was always some weird fish to be fed or random aquatic disaster that seemed to need fixing by his friend.
andrew could have laughed out loud at his friend's mention of xbox, if it hadn't been for the huge bite of burger he had in his mouth. he was stuck in the same awkward position that jamie had been in when aj first greeted him. it was a good thing aj didn't care about what jamie thought. and jamie didn't care about what aj thought. there was no doubt in am's mind that he had probably thrown up once or twice in front of his friends, so a little bit of burger didn't matter to him. "i have been swamped with work." aj mentioned, swallowing his food. the lump fell slowly down his throat and instantly seemed to sop up any alcohol remaining in his stomach. the slight headache continued, but he would soldier on. "and parties, and i guess i fit some school work in there somehow." he laughed, popping a french fry in his mouth.
there weren't many valuables in aj's studio apartment. the only things of value were his five game systems that he kept under the television. a nintendo 64, a playstation, playstation 3, a wii, and of course, his mentioned xbox 360. whenever he didn't feel like going out of the house, he would log on xbox live and play whatever game jamie had in store. it was just another way to socialize. maybe he wasn't the greatest player in the world, but he could certainly hold his own with a needler in a game of halo. "but communication is a two way street!" aj mentioned, with a smile. "what have you been up to lately?" sure, the two had seen each other here and there, but not as much as aj wanted. he wished to be surrounded by friends at all times. if it was up to him, his life would be one perpetual party with every single person he has ever spoken to in one huge mansion.
