Highschool reunions were notoriously hideous and nerve racking. You always heard people bitching about having to go and trying their best to outdo each other but Sienna had never been one to worry about it. In fact she'd always look forward to the night of her five year reunion. Highschool had been a fairy tale for her. The boy, the friends, the fun. She'd always been excited to show up and see the people she'd always loved but now that she was actually here, she was beginning to understand the anxiety everyone raved on about. Always the girl that had it together, her stomach was now churning and making her feel disgusting. The schools gym hadn't changed at all and the tacky decorations reminded her of her Senior Prom. Typically memories like this would make her smile but tonight she'd rather be anywhere else.

The leggy blonde had spotted him the second she'd entered the room about half an hour ago. Landon Smith. What was even worse was that he looked amazing. When didn't he? After a year of avoiding her ex she couldn't believe that something as lame as this was bringing them together in the same space. To make matters worse nearly every single person she spoke to asked the same question. Where's Landon?. Then came the awkward moment when she had to tell them that the couple they thought had been so perfect had in fact broken up. Their faces annoyed her, the shock then the pity. People seemed to react better when she told them her brother had died last year, not that she'd had to bring that up tonight. Still, this walk down memory lane wasn't as fun as she'd hoped, especially when she could see Landon out of the corner of her eye.

"Bathroom?" she asked the group of girls she was with, desperate to get away from everyone for just a few minutes. As the group of females followed her towards the bathroom she passed a picture of her and Landon when they were in their Senior year, all smiles. She couldn't help but roll her pretty blue eyes as she pushed her way towards the bathroom. Rummaging through her clutch she found the silver flask she'd packed earlier and cracked it open, taking a huge swig before passing it to her friend. It was funny, she was perfectly legal and allowed to drink and yet she still felt like she had to sneak away and avoid detention. It was amazing how young being in your old school could make you feel. Sienna had never been a big drinker however with all the drama she'd encountered over the last year, she definitely wasn't feeling herself anymore. Sex, booze, late nights. It was all fair game now.

Fixing her hair in the mirror she made her decision one more, just to make sure she'd stick to it. No Landon. No looking at him, no speaking to him, no acknowledging his existence. He was dead to her, him and his entire family. Hatred seemed so hard to maintain but she was adamant on it. Feeling confident and back in charge she was ready to re-enter the festivities. The noise of the rowdy crowd filled the air again and with so many people to talk to her eyes just had to zone in on Landon again. Well, more who he was talking to. Allison from history class? Sienna instantly felt a pang of jealousy. Five years and the pathetic little brunette was still clingy onto her high school crush on Sienna's boyfriend. Well, ex boyfriend but she still wasn't happy about it. She'd never really been jealous throughout her life but suddenly she hated this girl even more than when they were at school. Her hair was flat, her tan was streaky and she looked like a troll standing next to Landon. Sienna shook her head at her own thoughts. Why was she being such a bitch?

Going against everything she'd just psyched herself up for she made a beeline straight for the pair. "Allison, hey" she smiled as hard as she could, resisting the urge to scratched her teeny eyes out. "Y'know I think some of the football team were looking for you just before. Apparently they have some embarrassing story to share about you on Spring Break" she shrugged innocently, giving her a small wave as the other girl scurried off as quickly as she could. As nasty as it seemed she felt better fending her off. For all she knew Landon was enjoying the attention but this horribly immature side she'd just discovered wasn't going to let it happen. "I never knew you had a thing for her?" Sienna raised and eyebrow with a smirk, "You make a lovely couple. Except she's manlier than you" she added with a sweet smile. Yes, she was being a smart ass but to be honest, she didn't know how else to act. It was hard to sweet and comfortable around him after all this time and it was her defense mechanism.

High school reunions were something Landon never really understood. He kind of saw it as an excuse for everyone to fulfill their curiosity without it being too obvious. Why were people so eager to see others that they probably lost touch with over the last 5 years? It wasn't like people were magically going to become friends again. There was something about being back in those halls that let a little of his teenage side poke through. 5 years ago he was here, walking the halls with his beautiful girlfriend by his side and on top of the social ladder. It was also funny to see how pointless all of it was now. People fought tooth and nail to try and get noticed or get to the top when in reality it wasn't going to enrich their futures in any way.

As he walked the halls, he stopped by his locker and opened it up. He was looking for something, something Sienna had written on the inside their senior year. It was a little faded but he could still see it. A heart with their names inside and the word forever. Forever. Forever was unfortunately a bust and didn't last them very long. Maybe the fact that the words on the locker were fading was a good thing. It portrayed their relationship pretty well considering they weren't even on speaking terms. He couldn't bring herself to blame him though and he wasn't going to.

Landon walked into the gym where the reunion was taking place and smiled as he saw the familiar faces. It was like everyone was exactly where they were 5 years ago. The nerds were catching up and hanging out in a corner, a lot better looking no doubt; the football team were busy recollecting memories of the past -he probably should have gone and stood beside them but he wasn't feeling it-; everyone just seemed to be into their own circles again and it was amusing to watch. He hung out by the food and beverages, just watching everyone else when he heard a very familiar voice approach him. Landon Smith?! Oh my God look at you!" The voice came from a very nasal and very short and stout girl he knew all too well. Allison Barnes had been one of the clingiest women to ever walk the planet and it seemed like her bad habits hadn't died yet. She gave him a hug and kiss on the cheek and began chatting away with him, flirting no doubt. At that moment he prayed for God to send some sort of intervention to get this girl away from him and as soon as he laid eyes on Sienna, he knew his prayers were answered.

He watched her speak to Allison, amusement on his face, and stayed quiet with a small smirk curving his lips. When the brunette walked away to talk to the football team, Landon looked down at his drink a moment and looked back up at her with a playful smirk. She was teasing him, which worried him slightly because they hadn't talked in over a year. "Yes, well, you know me. I can't pass up an opportunity with a oily haired, fake tanned, man." he replied with a charming smile. It was so good to hear her voice again, to see her as radiant as ever. "You look amazing, Sienna." He said sweetly, looking around the room momentarily. "how are you?'

Sienna had lost a lot over the last year. Her brother being the biggest tragedy of them all. Her family had always been close and this has taken it’s toll on them all. Each and everyone of her siblings seemed to have rebelled in their own way and began acting like totally different people. Sienna understood why ofcourse and she was feeling everything they were plus a little more. On top of everything she had this immense feeling of guilt that ate away at her every single day. If she hadn’t have called her brother he’d still be here, if her and Landon hadn’t have had that stupid argument, her brother would still be here. She buried in own misery in alcohol and random guys but she only hurt more every time she saw one of the other Harington’s and how it was eating them up. Her brother wasn’t the only person she’d lost though. She’d lost Landon. It was of her own doing ofcourse but it was yet another thing she still hadn’t dealt with.

She’d done an awfully good job of avoiding Landon over the year, his entire family really. Smith was like a dirty word in her household, something all of the Harington’s muttered with disgust. An accident had suddenly turned into a war that every single one of them seemed to be fighting, especially Sienna. She felt like she had to try the hardest out of everyone to hate them because yes, she’d loved Landon for so long. When she was younger she’d had all those fairytales dream revolving around him. The wedding, the kids, the massive house down near the beach. Then when she remembered how much she’d wanted to be with him she felt even guiltier, like she was betraying her family and her deceased brother. After all Landon was partly responsible too. As was she in her own way but she still hadn’t admitted that to herself.

It didn’t matter if she never wanted to speak to him again and had gone to the effect of having Helena clear every Landon related memory out of her house because as soon as she saw another girl flirting with him highschool Sienna reared her jealous little blonde head. She may have convinced herself that she didn’t care about him but the idea of him being with another girl in front of her snapped her back to her old self. It was only obvious that she felt the need to claim her territory even though he really wasn’t anymore. She was beginning to realise more and more that she seemed like a total headcase but Sienna always acted on impulse. She smirked as the other girl took her exit, pleased with herself. Atleast she still had control over something.
Returning her attention back to Landon she realised that she now actually had to talk to him. Shit. She could hardly intimidate some loser away then just walk away and leave him on his own. She didn’t exactly feel like putting her craziness on display. A perfectly shaped eyebrow raised in his direction, a mocking scoff escaping her lips, ”Jeez, thanks”. She really didn’t take any offence and secretly got a thrill out of him trash talking the other girl. Things got more serious though, not that you’d ever think a simple compliment and friendly question could be serious but considering they were the first words they’d spoken in ages, they felt like they had some massive impact. ”Oh, um...thanks” she accepted the compliment suddenly losing the confidence she usually possessed and running a hand through her hair to make sure it was fine. God, was she fifteen again or something. ”You look good yourself” she smiled politely, meaning it. When didn’t he look good? The blue eyes, the hair, the toned shoulders. There was a reason every girl lusted after him to this day. ”I’m good. No, I’m great” she shrugged casually, taking a sip of her drink and crossing her arm across her body, ”Actually it feels a little weird being back here to be honest. I feel like I’m in highschool again or something. Totally bizarre” she admitted with a small laugh, forgetting her self-promise to remain cool and stand-offish. ”How about you? Doing well?” she asked trying her hardest to sound casual even though deep down inside she kind of wanted to know everything that was going on in his life.
