this is what makes us girls [style=font-family: loved by the king; text-transform: lowercase; font-size:15px; letter-spacing: 2px; text-align: center; background-color:#AD012E; width: 400px; color: #ffffff; border-radius: 5px 5px 63px 63px; ] mascara running down her little bambi eyes It was strange going through life so sure of who you were going to be with for the rest of your life just to find out you were wrong. That’s how Adie felt. For years she had been so sure of who would be sliding that diamond ring on her finger. He’d been her best friend, she’d known him since she was a baby and they’d been close all their lives and Adie had been in love with him for most of it. Ever since she started crushing on guys, he’d been the one she couldn’t shake. Not that she’d tried. He’d also been the first man she’d ever experimented with sexually. Still, the girl was a virgin and was holding onto it for him. But his heroin addicted was getting the better of both of them. He was moody, angry and just plain mean and Adie was having problems dealing with it. Stubbornness, pride and loyalty made it impossible for her to turn away from him but anyone around her could see that it was taking it’s toll on her.
Waking up this morning, Adie kissed his cheek and crawled out of his arms. It wasn’t anything new for him to stay over like this or for them to share a bed. It was something they’d been doing for years and it was rare for Adie to wake up before her friend and even rarer for her to actually get out of bed before him but with all the stress that was in their lives at the present, sleep was eluding her. Adie stretched, showered and changed, slipping out the door and going for a walk. It was still early and the sun was hidden behind the horizon, cloud cover hung low and promised a cool, wet day which Adie was looking forward to. A day to match the condition her heart was in. Pocketing her hands, she pulled the hood of her wink breaker up and turned towards the ocean. She had no real reason for wanting to be by the water. It didn’t call to her like it did other people but still, her feet took her east instead of west this morning and Adie could only follow where they led.
As she walked to her unknown destination, she kept her eyes down and her hands in her pockets. The morning air was crisp and cool, the kind of air that Adie usually only got to enjoy on the nights that she was up late and outdoors, the nights that she’d sit on the balcony of her apartment and look out across the city lights. Unlike her best friend, Adie was one hundred percent a city girl so the night lights were more captivating to her than some of the things that her best friend enjoyed but still, they got on. He knew her better than anyone else. Sliding her hands through her blonde hair, Adie’s feet found the old planks of the pier. It was mostly empty with a few people opening up their shops and preparing for the day but otherwise, it was quiet and peaceful, especially at the end of the pier and that’s exactly what Adie needed right now, a moment of peace before the day started.
Of course it would help if she made it to the end of the pier instead of bumping smack dab into a man as he turned the corner of one of the stores. ”Goodness! I’m so sorry, are you ok?” She asked, placing a gentle hand on his forearm arm as an act of comfort.

Opening his rested brown eyes after a well deserved eight-hour sleep just to see his daughter jumping onto the bed, trying to wake him up. A small laugh escaped between his lips, getting up from the bed and turned to his right side when he notices his girlfriend still sleeping in. He didn’t want to wake up for up or anything, mostly because he didn’t want to deal with her arguing, so he decided to do the nice thing and let her sleep. Looking over at his daughter with a smile, walking toward the bed where she was a standing and picked her up. Walking out from the bedroom and making their way over toward the kitchen when they notice a familiar face drinking coffee in the living room. Placing Sophia down next to his sister before walking inside the kitchen to make something to eat for the little girl, made a breakfast dish of pancakes and eggs. While she was eating, Trevor decided to hop into the shower which lasted for about fifteen minutes. Once he was done, the boy walked out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around his waist and walked over toward the closet to see what to wear to get his day started. He put on a simple white shirt with a navy blue jeans and feeling lazy to go his hair that he decided to put on a baseball cap. After he was done eating dressed, he quickly look over at his girlfriend who was still in bed which is no surprise for him since it’s nine in the morning and she normally doesn’t wake up until ten thirty. Shaking his head slightly as a small sigh had escaped between his lips before walking out of the bedroom.
Trevor walked over where his daughter was sitting when he notice she was already done with her breakfast, grabbing her empty plate with one hand while picking her up from the chair with the other. Putting her down when her two little feet touched the ground, watching his daughter sitting down beside his sister before he walked to the kitchen to place the plate onto the sink. Grabbing the keys from top of the counter, telling the girls that he’s gonna go somewhere and that he’ll be back later. Walking over toward where his daughter was sitting, getting on his knees and gave his little girl a little peck on the cheek. Getting up from the floor and walked out of the apartment, closing the door behind. As much as Trevor didn’t want to leave his baby girl home, but at the same time he felt like he had to. He spends most of the week with her and loves spending every minute with her, but he also deserves some father time alone for once. Everyday he’s always tired because he’s either working or spending some quality father/daughter time with his favorite girl while his girlfriend is out having fun and acting like she doesn’t have a daughter. Sometimes, Trevor wonders why he’s even with her.
Anyways, a little nice walk around the pier for some fresh air is something he needed right now. It’s always good to get out of the house for once. After walking out of a store from buying a little present for his daughter, Trevor was putting the change away inside the pocket of his jeans when he felt his body making impact with someone who was walking in the opposite direction. “I’m fine.” The boy said, looking down at the ground while holding into the girl’s arm to prevent her from falling down. Finally looking up as he made eye contact with the girl that he made impact with couple seconds ago. Looking at her with a confused look as to like he’s seen her before but couldn’t really put a finger on it. Maybe he seen her somewhere around the city or something. “There’s no need to apology. It was my fault. I should’ve watch where I was going.” The boy continued, shrugging his shoulders. He knew it was his fault for not watching where he was going and being a gentlemen that he is, the boy wasn't gonna let some cute stranger take the complete fall for it. "Are you okay?"

As a chef, she loved cooking and she tended to do that when she was upset or stressed. Some women cleaned, some people smoked cigarettes or loaded up on booze but Adie liked to cook. She couldn’t eat all the food she cooked however so when she got attacked by these moments of stress or depression, Adie took the food down to the homeless shelter and gave it to some of the kids down there. There were four in particular that stole her heart. Milo was a cute little Vietnamese boy whose parents ended up in jail for being illegal immigrants. When child services came to get him, the lady who owned the soup kitchen, Mrs. Potts, stepped up to become his foster mother. Donatello was a little Italian boy who no one was missing. He didn’t really share his story but Mrs. Potts suspected that he was abused and ran away. Monica and Jasper were Americans. Their sister got caught in a sex trafficking ring and they were barely able to get out. Monica was only four, the youngest of the group. But they all loved Adie’s cooking and Adie admired their strength so she took a point to spoiling them. She brought them toys, baked them cakes on their birthday and even occasionally got to take them out for ice cream and what not.
That wasn’t to mention Lilly, he best friend’s daughter. Mason had knocked up one of his flings and Lilly-Anna was the result. As much as she resented the girl’s mother for falling pregnant with the child that Adelaide always thought she’d have, she’d fallen in love with the Schraft girl. Every time she looked at Lilly, she saw more and more Mason, more and more Schraft in her and Adelaide loved the Schrafts. Hell, the man she called father was a Schraft and also Mason’s brother. Apparently, love for Schraft men ran in the White family line because her sister had been the one to marry Mason’s brother. So no, children weren’t anything new to Adelaide, she adored them.
Smiling softly at the man, she tilted her head some. ”I think we can both agree that it was mutual.” She laughed. If he wanted to take all the blame, she wouldn’t fight with him over it. It just wasn’t worth it in her book but in her mind, their collision was the result of a series of decisions that they both made. Adie fixed her attire quietly, making sure it was hanging like it was supposed to, smoothing her hands over it before looking up at the man she’d made contact with. Her delicate smile was still intact as he addressed her, checking on her status. She looked at her hands, bending each finger as if she were counting them and smiled as she turned her palms towards him and said ”Looks like they are all still there” with a laugh and a nod. ”I’m perfectly alright.” She assured him, running her fingers through her hair.
”Do you drink coffee? Or smoothies?” She asked, eyes flickering to the pier’s version of a food court where both a starbucks and a jamba juice stood, ready to compete for their business. ”Why don’t you let me buy you a drink?” She asked, taking a minute to giggle about the way the words came out, gesturing to the food court. ”I was just going to grab a smoothie myself.” She clarified since her words were generally used in the sense of ‘let’s meet at a bar, get drunk and see if we end up in bed together’. Adie certainly didn’t hold onto her virginity as long as she had by doing things like that.
