She had been waiting for this day for a long time but recent events had made her anxious about it. She still hadn’t told her family about her trip to Vegas, and what had happened. It had been a week now so the point was that they either knew about it and was waiting for a time for it to all blow up in her face, which seemed mean, but not how it sounded, or they didn’t know and she would have to tell them. Either way it was like a volcano waiting to erupt and she hated it, this was not the ideal situation that she wanted to be in. She didn’t want to be married, she wanted to be single, she was way too young in her opinion to get married, and she didn’t even want to think about what she was missing out on since she couldn’t do anything else. At least she wasn’t cheating though. Brooke may have slept around before but she had preferred fuck buddies/friends with benefits. Plus she would never, ever cheat with someone she knew had a girlfriend, and she had morals, she knew that she would never cheat if she was in a relationship. Now she may not have wanted the marriage but she was stuck with it, and she wasn’t going to cheat. She hadn’t had a drink since Vegas, but it was her twenty first. She just couldn’t go without having a drink, but she had already made the decision that she wasn’t going to get completely wasted, she didn’t want anything else to go horribly wrong for her. That was of course easier said than done since she was a bit of a lightweight. Plus with all her friends drinking it would be hard to resist just having a few drinks. She already had a glass of champagne in her hand that she’d been given on her entrance. She looked around and smiled. There were already a lot of people here. She couldn’t deny that she was popular; she had been one of those girls in high school that everyone had loved. She had done well in school and been the cheerleader captain. In college she was still a cheerleader but she wasn’t captain quite yet but that didn’t matter. She took a sip of her champagne and walked around to see if she could find anyone to talk to. Well there were plenty of people around to talk to, that wasn’t the issue, and they were all her friends and she was going to have to talk to all of them at some point but she skimmed the crowd for the first person who she was going to make conversation with. She finally sidled up to someone and smiled, taking another sip of her drink heyyy she gave them a quick hug and a kiss on the cheek, that was how she was with all her friends. She sometimes appeared flirty with her male friends; it depended on how well she knew them. If she’d known them all her life then being flirty wasn’t the way she was going. Anyway this time she wasn’t being flirty, just her usual friendly self. How’re you? she asked them. Enjoying the party? It’s awesome right? she grinned at them. Brooke was never known for throwing lame parties, she was usually known for throwing amazing ones. In high school whenever her parents were away, and she could get rid of her siblings she would throw a party and they had all been legendary. Her twenty first would be just have to top all of that. come on let your colours burst |
