[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, width: 300px; height: 380px; background-color:#fff; border-left: 0px solid #cdcdcd; border-right: 0px solid #cdcdcd;] she was screaming, screaming in the back of the ambulance. her wrists and knuckles covered in the red substance that was her own blood. the two emt's had strapped her into the stretcher due to the fact she was thrashing so much to try and escape. she wanted to get out. she wanted to hurt herself, and mainly she wanted to just die. charlotte free, in the back of the moving ambulance was screaming at the top of her lungs, every other word a curse towards the female emt and a crude sexual remark at the male emt. when the ambulance pulled to a stop they grabbed her right arm and stuck her with a needle, she let out a whimpering scream of pain and soon the drugs being pumped into her lulled her into a subconcious blur or images. the next thing she knew she was on an operating table, staring up at the three bulbs over head. then it all went black. she woke up the next morning in the recovery room, iv's taped to her and her right hand bandaged up and throbbing with every time she moved it. she was dazed, confused, groggy and in pain. the three feelings she hated. she had no idea why she was sitting in the er, why her hand was bandaged and why she was so hungry. looking up she took her left hand and pressed the nurse button, more then once, just to be a little over dramatic. when the short pompous nurse came in charlie chuckled and looked at her. why am i here? she stated simply. the short nurse gave her a short story. she had not taken her medication yesterday and wound up exploding. she punched a glass window and the glass was pierced inside her hand, they had to perform surgery to get it out. charlie laughed at the story. wow, gotta add that to my list of things ive never done before she rolled her eyes and the nurse fleed the room. a few moments later the doctor came in. she shared witty banter and he told her that she was free to go. he couldnt perscribe her medicine due to her bi-polar medication it would counter act, or some bull crap story. he told her that she was given her daily does of meds for the day and would be calm for the rest of the night. with that he was gone and charlie was up and moving. she stripped out of the small hospital gown, throwing it on the bed. slipping back into her jeans she noticed she had a new shirt, her sister must have been called. good ol' val. she was good for something. slipping on the plaid shirt over her black cami tank top she ran a finger through her straight platinum blonde hair. letting out a sigh she grabbed her purse, slung it over her arm and headed out. being careful not to touch anything with her hurt hand she headed out of the hospital. pausing near the entrance she leaned agains the wall and dug through her purse. pulling out her cigarettes she slipped one between her lips, lighting it and taking a long drag. god her anxiety was through the roof. |
